You will need a general understanding of how to manage a session with a pet and their owner and an appreciation of canine health basics. Give yourself plenty of time to complete the course without rushing and try to find space to undertake the course in a quiet area, free of distractions. The course should take approximately 90 minutes to complete.
- Provide clients with nutritional recommendations based on your understanding of the importance of the different nutrients.
- Compare the nutrient content of different pet foods.
- Provide recommendations for how much to feed per day by calculating the Daily Energy Requirement (DER).
- Explain why cats and dogs require different types of food.
